about the greatergood network

(For more information on the Gift² project, click here.)

ORGANIZATION: The GreaterGood Network

PERFECT FOR: Gifts of everything imaginable; stocking stuffers of everything else imaginable

COST: $.80 – $?

WHAT YOU GET: Just about every type of item you’re already planning to buy–apparel, jewelry, home decor, ornaments, housewares, calendars, cards, etc.

WHAT YOU GIVE: Food for a hungry person, free mammograms for women in need, food and care for rescued animals, meals for veterans, therapy and research for autism, healthcare for children, new books to children in low-income families, or aid in preserving the rainforests

BOASTS: The GreaterGood Network supports charities in the areas of Hunger, Breast Cancer, Animals, Veterans, Autism, Child Health, Literacy, and the Rainforests. Their boasts are unbelievable. You can see a full list of their impressive and collective successes here. From 1999-2010, The GreaterGood Network raised over $26 million for various charities. If that’s not impressive, nothing is impressive.

MY PICK: I’m not even sure where to begin. The Wakami Eight-Strand Earth Bracelet is nice, as is the What An Elephant Heard Hobo Bag and just about everything else.

LEGITIMACY: The GreaterGood Network is a registered 501c3. It is not BBB accredited but does have an A+ rating on the BBB website. The GreaterGood’s parent company is CharityUSA.com, LLC. CharityUSA.com is listed with one shipping complaint on the BBB website but is otherwise not accredited nor rated.

MORE DETAILS: This one is huge. The website is huge, the impact is huge, the selection is huge. The GreaterGood allows you to pick whatever area of charity is most important to you and browse that store. I don’t know how else to sell this to you. The items are great, the quality is great (I have purchased from them before), and the donation as a result of your purchase is also great.
